Choir: Choir takes place every Monday in Elana’s music room. Students learn songs and perform them at school-wide assemblies.
Intramurals: Intramurals happen every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. You compete against other house teams (Esther, David, Moshe, Devorah) to earn points for your respective teams.
Robotics Club: Robotics club takes place in the robotics room on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You get to build and code robots, and then compete in scrimmages and tournaments.
Climbing Club: Climbing club meets on Tuesdays in the gym. You get to climb, learn about it, and then participate in a climbing jamboree at the Richmond Olympic Oval.
Chesed Club: There are two Chesed clubs, one for grade 6 on Fridays, and one for grade 7 on Tuesdays. Both meet in the new synagogue.They give you the opportunity to volunteer in kindergarten classrooms, Eldean’s office, or on the playground.
Dungeons & Dragons Club: Dungeons & Dragons Club happens on Wednesdays in the library. You have the opportunity to solve mysteries, use your imagination, come up with new characters and even fight imaginary battles.
Magazine Club: Magazine club is on Wednesdays in Ms. Sims’ room, where you get to write articles and publish them in the school magazine. Each person writes their own article about their personal interests.
Green Thumb Club: Green Thumb Club is on Mondays and Wednesdays at lunch, in the Community Garden. You have the opportunity to help out in the garden. This means planting and harvesting food, like strawberries or kale, for JFS.
Just Dance Club: Just Dance Club is an opportunity for both grade 6 Chesed and grade 1-4 kids who want to dance. You can meet at the Small Gym on Thursdays and dance your heart out to Dance Videos.
Chidon Hatanach: Chidon Hatanach is a club where you get to play Torah Blookets, and study Torah with Rabbi Varnai. This club happens on Fridays in Morah Hofit’s room. If you study hard enough, you even get to have a slice of pizza!
